They say a picture is worth a thousand words! Years from now there will be plenty of both here.

Music will tells more of the story.

I'll attempt to pay tribute to those who have been a positive influence on my life. Tina Turner sang "you better be good to me". I have managed to keep track!

The late Gary Moore has a song "Looking Back". "i was looking back, to see if she was looking back, to see if i was looking back at her".

Try saying that three times, realy fast!

Marie (mom) started my photographic journey. She noticed early on that was crazy about music & concerts. The first drum set & guitar! Well that didn't go over so well. But the first camera. Bingo!

Marie Shirley Hansen b 12-30-1928 in Sheboygan, WI. Almost a new years eve baby!

Graduated from Central High in 1947.
She then spent several years traveling the country with her girlfriends. She met Harold "Hunky" Anderson in the late 50's. On July 1st. 1959 they were married in Sheboygan. Marie raised her two children alone. This would become a life long journey, her passion and in many ways her purpose for life. Marie would never remarry. She worked for Wells Mfg. for 14 years. After retiring from Wells in 1991 she resumed working for The Eye Care Center in Fond du lac for 8 years. I had often wondered how she did so much for us and so very little for her self. During the last 5 years of Maries life I found one of her secrets. Maries rewards came from one simple thing. Her children gave her (gratification). Not in terms of wealth or material possessions, rather in being good people.

Mom died in our arms Aug 2nd 2006.

Harold R Anderson b 4-13-1932
Harold "hunky" was my father.
Clintonville WI. Class of 1951
Korean Conflict:
5th. Armored Division A Company 22nd. Armored Engineer Battalion. Camp Chaffee, Arkansas Oct. 20 1952- Feb 6th. 1953 PVT-2 US 55 301 518

On his birthday in 1969 we came home and found him dead.

Hi Chris, My name is Carla Behnke and I graduated with your dad. I remember him well He was a quite, nice guy who got along with everyone. He was active in school and played football and basketball and was our Homecoming King in our Jr. year I really can"t say enough good things about him. I really was sad when I heard about his death. I can't tell you much else, but I hope this will let you know he was well thought of.

One of Dad's favorite songs was "five foot two, eyes of blue" Dean Martin. By all accounts Harold had a big sence of humor. Like father like son. My best memory of him was being chased around the tree we planted on our yard. Only those of you who grew up in a single parent household would understand.

Shortly after high school graduation he was drafted into the Army and spent two years in Korea, became a Corporal in the field artillery. Some unpleasant things happened to him there. He came home very unsettled.
He worked at various jobs but things did not get better. He started college at Stevens Point, but did not finish. Finally he got a job with the Wisconsin Power and Light Co. While working there he met your mom.
Mother told me of how they met at a dance in Sheboygan. In the year ahead Harold asked mom to marry him three times. Only on the third time did she say yes.

More later: In the mean time, did Adam & Eve have belly buttons?

To love a person is to learn the song
That is in their heart,
And to sing it to them
When they have forgotten.
